Meet the team

The Implementation Team are responsible for the booking of commercial airtime across TV, Radio & Digital platforms. We deliver the deals negotiated by the Trading Team, provide best service levels to our customers and maximize short term revenue for RTÉ

Reporting to the Head of Implementation (Multimedia) you will be working within the wider Commercial Department. We are looking for an experienced Media Sales Assistant to work within the Team and be responsible for a portfolio of ad agencies.

About the role:
  • Chasing for approval and setting up campaigns based upon written approvals from advertising agencies or clients, referring to agencies and the trading team where campaign approvals do not meet the deal criteria
  • Checking campaign set up details prior to Auto Booker
  • Booking of guaranteed spots or packages in line with deal parameters
  • Churning of campaigns post Auto Booker, ensuring that all campaigns are of an acceptable quality before being sent to agencies
  • Constant monitoring and adjustment of campaigns to ensure that deal parameters and RTÉ Sales policies are being met
  • Filling and forward filling of available airtime prior to day closing/week closing
  • Pre-invoice campaign checks and final month end revenue checks with agencies
  • First stage resolution of accounts queries

About you:
  • Experience in buying/selling traditional and digital media is desired
  • Strong administrative experience coupled with the ability to effectively plan and organise
  • An understanding and awareness of the media marketplace
  • Ability to work under pressure within tight timeframes
  • Strong customer focus
  • Strong communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team, while also operating independently and using sound initiative
  • Highly developed influencing skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders

This appointment will be made at the Media Sales Assistant 2 Grade and is being offered on a fixed purpose full-time contract basis to cover maternity leave. The salary scale for this grade is from €35,760 to €49,901 gross per annum.
