ROLE OVERVIEW:
Through the application of your scientific and clinical expertise, as the (Senior) Medical Advisor - Neuroscience, you are an integral member of the Nordic Neuroscience Medical Affairs team, the Local and Nordic Neuroscience Cross Functional Team, representing Sweden. You will be instrumental in strategic planning and execution to support our launch and commercialization within neurological diseases, including Alzheimer’s disease. As the (Senior) Medical Advisor - Neuroscience, you will also work closely with the regional (IBU) and Global teams and be responsible for assuring that medical activities and tactics are clearly aligned with the strategic priorities for the neuroscience brands and customer plan. In this role, you also serve as a scientific resource in a cross functional team.
You will ensure that all medical activities follow current local and international regulations, laws, mentorship, Good Clinical Practices (GCPs), company standards, Lilly policies and procedures, global quality standards, and the principles of Medical Research, and that these activities are aligned with the Lilly medical vision.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Your responsibility will be to provide expert scientific and clinical support to all aspects of the Neuroscience business in the local affiliate to ultimately enhance the customers´ experience in interacting with the company. The key priority areas include:
Inspiring Leader support
- Build relationships with relevant local neuroscience/Alzheimer medical societies, committees and other partners to identify external insight, customer and patient needs
- Understand and anticipate the scientific information needs of all customers (payers, patients, health care providers)
- Actively address customer questions in a timely fashion by providing scientific support for data analyses and new clinical or health outcomes research efforts, including IIT evaluation.
- Lead Inspiring Leader Engagement planning in close collaboration with Global, IBU and the cross-functional teams.
Affiliate Medical Affairs planning and execution
- Lead affiliate medical affairs pre-, peri- and post launch activities for Neuroscience
- Development and execution of medical tactics and project that support brand strategies through close collaboration with the global/IBU Medical Affairs and local cross-functional brand teams, Real World Evidence and market access teams.
- Contribute as a scientific and clinical expert to activities and deliverables of other functions, including market access, regulatory affairs, corporate affairs and commercial functions.
- Leverage deep product and disease knowledge and educate the network of affiliate peers
- Review, and approval of regulatory documents and promotional materials.
Clinical Research/Trial Execution and data generation
- Ensure the implementation of any neuroscience clinical trials conducted in Sweden
- Provide input to the global/IBU teams of the trial needs in Sweden
- Develop, conduct and report local data generation projects and studies, with focus on real world evidence to close evidence gaps.
- Support local facilitation of Investigator initiated trials
Scientific data Exchange, Dissemination and Education
- Lead the planning of advisory boards, educational and scientific exchange meetings, and/or the facilitation of other tactics with health care professionals.
- Support scientific training and internal and external educational activities
- In alignment with the Global and Regional teams, implement and transmit the communications strategy both external and internally.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- MD specialist and/or PhD in neurology, geriatrics or relevant life sciences, preferably with experience in the pharmaceutical industry, or Master in or relevant life sciences with few years’ experiences in medical affairs in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Fluent in English and Swedish
- Digital savvy and good capabilities in Windows Office package and other basic software
- Driver’s license and ability to drive
- Willingness and ability to travel to meet customers and attend internal and external meetings and congresses (20-30%).

Ideally, you bring several of the following key qualifications and experiences to the role:
- Strong scientific expertise in neurological diseases, especially Alzheimer’s.
- Proven experience engaging with Thought Leaders and in customer-facing roles.
- Experience and/or strong understanding of Neuroscience customers and societies.
- Skilled in interpreting scientific data and communicating with credibility.
- Patient-focused and customer-oriented.
