We are looking for a motivated Medical Assistant to join our team and grow with us as we continue to expand.

Job Summary
As a Medical Assistant in our pulmonary practice, you will play a vital role in providing excellent patient care. You will work closely with our physicians and healthcare team to ensure smooth and efficient patient visits. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about healthcare and looking to advance their career in a dynamic and expanding practice.

Duties

  • Greet and assist patients in a warm, professional manner.
  • Take vital signs and document patient history.
  • Prepare patients for examination and assist with procedures.
  • Manage patient flow, ensuring timely and efficient visits.
  • Assist in scheduling appointments and coordinating follow-up care.
  • Handle medical records and ensure patient information is accurately recorded and updated.
  • Administer medications, as directed by the physician.
  • Ensure the examination and treatment rooms are clean and properly stocked.
  • Provide education to patients regarding pulmonary conditions and treatments.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Educate patients on medication administration techniques and proper inhaler use.

Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical Assistant certification preferred.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in pulmonary or respiratory care, is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
  • Experience in outpatient settings or urgent care environments is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
