Roanoke Valley ENT & Allergy is a privately held practice and is passionate about offering exceptional adult and pediatric ENT care.

We are seeking a rock star Medical Assistant to join our Allergy Department. If you enjoy providing hands-on medical care, have a strong work ethic, are interested in learning new skills, and like working with a great team, then this position is right for you!

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant will progressively learn and perform all aspects of our allergy department to include. There's a lot to learn in this role, but our experienced team with teach you all that you need.

Responsibilities:

• Initiate immunotherapy injections
• Conduct new patient start education classes
• Conduct allergy skin testing
• Mix treatment sets for patients

We are seeking a professional with:

• A solid medical assisting work history
• MA, LPN, RN degrees will be considered and compensation will be determined based upon experience and degree level
• A patient-focused work ethic
• Leadership and teamwork skills
• Demonstrated, successful organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
• The ability to effectively and proactively communicate, both verbally and in writing, in support of appropriately informing patients, staff, and surgeons timely
• Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with team members, external representatives, distributors, vendors, etc.
• The desire and ability to learn new technology including but not limited to EMR and scheduling software
• The experience and skills to work in a medical office
