Position Overview: Part time 32 Hours weekly
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Medical Assistant to support our physicians and clinical team in delivering exceptional healthcare services. As a Medical Assistant at Bristol Primary Care LLC, you will play a key role in patient care by providing clinical assistance, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and ensuring smooth operations within the clinic.

Schedule: Monday to Thursday

Pay Range: $20 to $23/Hour

Medical Specialty -Primary Care Internal Medicine

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
  • Take and record vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, pulse, temperature).
  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Perform routine laboratory tests and prepare specimens for outside testing as needed.
  • Administer injections and vaccines, as directed by the physician.
  • Draw blood for lab tests and other diagnostic procedures.
  • Assist with patient education regarding treatment plans and medication instructions.
  • Update and maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Provide general administrative support, including scheduling, verifying insurance, and processing medical records.
  • Handle patient inquiries, providing information or directing them to the appropriate healthcare professional.
  • Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe clinical environment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient or primary care setting.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and patient care protocols.
  • Proficient in using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems (experience with EPIC EMR a plus).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong commitment to patient care and confidentiality.
  • CPR certification required (BLS certification preferred).
