Medical Assistant - Plastic Surgery

MA - Plastic Surgery - Join our amazing team!

We are looking for a well-organized and experienced MA for a clinical office position.

The ideal candidate may be currently working in a larger medical or surgical office (preferred), and looking for an opportunity to focus on individualized patient care with a smaller team. The candidate may also be ready to utilize more of their skill-set. We are extremely focused on delivering the highest level of care and you would share the same ideals and thrive in a service environment.

This position requires an individual who is energetic, dynamic and extremely organized. Must be able to work autonomously and with other staff as a team. Your role is not only as a nurse, but also to strengthen our patient relationships.

Must be detail oriented, possess strong customer service skills, be able to prioritize tasks with attention to detail, possess excellent communication skills, be able to manage various job duties simultaneously, maintain a high level of customer service and deliver quality patient care. Our office utilizes technology and the ideal candidate would possess advanced computer skills.

Responsibilities include extensive phone and in-person communication with patients; explain procedures, answer questions in a clear manner, provide caring guidance, act as liaison between surgeon and patient, promote surgeon and surgical results, review pre- and post-operative instructions, provide pre- and post-operative care, interface with patients and their families, ability to recognize patient needs and customize individual care, assist in managing the consultation/surgical process, recognize and contribute to the entire patient experience, “hand hold” patients through their surgical decision process.

This position will assist in office procedures alongside the physician as necessary, prepare rooms, track inventory, perform treatments like CoolSculpting and EmSculpt and assist the Surgeon and clinical team as required.

Experience/Requirements:

  • MA license with minimum 2 years experience
  • Medical office experience in the areas of Plastic Surgery, Dermatology, or surgical facility is preferred but not required
  • Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills over the telephone, in written communication and in-person.

Pay: $17.00 - $30.00 per hour
