Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the billing process for medical services, ensuring accuracy in patient accounts, and facilitating timely payments from insurance companies. This role is essential in maintaining the financial health of our practice while providing excellent service to our patients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit accurate billing claims to insurance companies and government programs.
• Review patient accounts for accuracy and completeness, ensuring all necessary documentation is included.
• Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve discrepancies with insurance providers.
• Communicate with patients regarding their bills, payment plans, and any outstanding balances.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical billing codes and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary information for billing purposes.
• Generate financial reports related to billing activities and account status.

Skills

• Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, coding (CPT, ICD-10), and insurance processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple accounts effectively.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and insurance representatives.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
