We are seeking a skilled Front Desk Receptionist who is responsible for patient scheduling, registration, check in/check out processes, insurance eligibility verification as well as obtaining authorizations. Must have previous medical front office experience, be extremely dependable and able to work in fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors at the front desk, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Manage patient check-ins and check-outs efficiently, maintaining accurate medical records.
  • Handle phone calls, scheduling appointments, and addressing patient inquiries with professionalism.
  • Verify insurance and demographic information at each visit, collect co-payments and patient balances.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations in all patient interactions.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, as assigned.

Knowledge, skills, abilities required for the position:

  • Previous experience with telephone systems.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation.
  • Skill in operating a variety of office equipment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the public.
  • Ability to work under pressure, communicate and present information.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply policies and procedures.
  • Ability to identify problems, recommend solutions, organize and analyze information.
  • Knowledge of medical practice procedures and functions preferred
  • Knowledge of insurance and billing procedures including Medicare, Medicaid and Managed Care Plans.

Required experience:

  • High school or equivalent, preferred.
  • One year working in medical office.
