- MBBS from a recognized medical college
- MD (General Medicine) followed by DM (Medical Gastroenterology)
- Registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC)/State Medical Council

Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Medical Gastroenterologist to diagnose, treat, and manage diseases related to the digestive system, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, and gastrointestinal tract. The ideal candidate should possess strong clinical knowledge, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with gastrointestinal and liver disorders.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as:
- Upper GI Endoscopy
- Colonoscopy
- Sigmoidoscopy
- ERCP (if trained)
- Capsule Endoscopy (where available)
- Manage conditions including:
- GERD
- Peptic Ulcer Disease
- Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
- Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)
- Liver Diseases
- Hepatitis
- Pancreatitis
- GI Bleeding
- Gastrointestinal Cancers
- Interpret laboratory investigations, imaging studies, and pathology reports.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
- Provide inpatient and outpatient consultation services.
- Collaborate with surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, and other specialists.
- Educate patients and families regarding disease prevention, treatment, and lifestyle modifications.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
- Participate in emergency GI care whenever required.
- Ensure adherence to hospital protocols, infection control measures, and ethical medical practices.

- Ability to manage emergency GI cases
- Teamwork and multidisciplinary collaboration
- Patient-focused approach
- Good documentation and clinical decision-making skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience in therapeutic endoscopy
- ERCP/EUS exposure (preferred but not mandatory)
- Knowledge of hepatology management
- Experience in tertiary care hospitals is an advantage
Working Hours
- Full-time
- Rotational shifts as per hospital policy
- On-call duties for emergencies
