About the role

If you are looking for a new challenge in your career and are excited by the opportunity to provide quality service, then look no further, we have opportunities for a New Zealand Registered Medical Imagining Technologist to join our hard working but fun team in the Radiology Department at Ōamaru Hospital!

  • Fully equipped, providing DR, CR, PACS, general x-ray, emergency, 64 slice CT scanner, and Ultrasound services
  • Dynamic and varied work environment across the board, with the opportunity to work in multidisciplinary teams servicing a vast geographical service delivery area with a diverse patient population
  • You will certainly be kept on your toes, with our service operating on a 24/7 basis with on-call rostering
  • Enhance your professional development and a add to your skill set
  • CT experience is an advantage but that training can be offered

About you:

  • Hold a current Annual Practicing Certificate and hold registration with the New Zealand Medical Radiations Technologists Board
  • Experienced, approachable, and professional with a team-based approach
  • A natural affinity for relationship building with both patients and staff alike
  • Be a team player through and through, with refined communication skills
  • Highly adaptable, motivated and efficient
  • Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
  • Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings
  • There may be times where you will be required to participate in on-call and additional cover hours

Salary range

This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the APEX MIT CEA and the salary will be in accordance with the pay scale, between $77,087 and $107,600 p.a pro-rata dependent on relevant experience.
