Oxford College Burlington Campus is seeking to hire a Medical Laboratory Assistant/Technician Program Instructor.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review the syllabus with students at the onset of a new course and outline expectations accordingly.
  • Conduct all classes in accordance with the course syllabus, the class schedule, and all instructional materials adopted for the course.
  • Implement all lecture materials, assessments and any additional resources as provided in the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Conduct themselves professionally in representing the College, its constituents, its students, and their discipline.
  • Come to each class fully prepared with knowledge of the lesson, instruct students and evaluate their performance carefully and equitably.
  • Provide feedback regarding lecture materials, formative and/or summative assessments, and exercises which will help foster the student learning experience.
  • Provide instruction for the full period scheduled, with appropriate intermissions as outlined in the Oxford College Handbooks.
  • Evaluate the performance of students in a manner consistent with the course objectives and grading criteria published in the course syllabus.
  • Administer and grade all assessments in accordance with the parameters set in the LMS and the course outlines, to ensure students are provided with consistent notification of their academic progress. For any at-risk students who are not maintaining Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP), ensure due diligence in the creation and implementation of detailed Action Plans while ensuing ongoing communication with designated staff.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records of student grades, attendance, and communication. Student attendance must be accurately recorded daily. Student grades must be promptly recorded in both the LMS and Student Management System (SMS). Inform designated staff of any issues with student attendance and participation.
  • Refer students to appropriate College designated staff and/or resources for information or guidance, as appropriate.
  • Participate in the evaluation of courses or curricula and make recommendations to the Academic Department.
  • Participate in scheduled faculty meetings, professional development, and associated activities.
  • Participate in graduation ceremonies.
  • For all on-campus lab and clinics and any other offsite course-related activities, ensure all program standards are met.
  • Perform other administrative duties as required.

Pay: $28.00-$34.00 per hour
