We are currently seeking a dynamic and skilled Medical Office Assistant to join our team for a Full-Time position in Grande Prairie, AB.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Answering multiple incoming telephone lines, routing calls, taking messages, providing general information to patients, greeting and assisting incoming patients, scheduling appointments, performing patient appointment reminder calls, routing incoming and outgoing mail, distributing correspondence and other material to clinic staff.
- Perform a variety of routine typing assignments; operate personal computer to draft basic correspondence, enter data, print letters, labels, reports, and/or other materials to assist clinicians, type and submit form letters.
- Medical equipment cleaning/reprocessing.
- Some bookkeeping may be required, including billing of patient services.
- Establish, maintain, process, and or update patient files, records, and/or other patient-related documents following established clinical and administrative guidelines.
- Stock and distribute office and medical supplies.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned and act as a brand ambassador.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Effectively communicate with supervisors, physicians, and co-workers.
- Manage stressful situations with composure and professionalism.
- Contribute to clinical and business improvement opportunities.
- Provide support at different clinic locations to assist with business initiatives.
Requirements:
- Medical Office Administrative Certificate or equivalent experience.
- Computer/word processing knowledge and experience (MS Office Skills/Word/Excel/Outlook).
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and assertive.
- Skilled in the use of basic office equipment.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational skills and professional telephone manner.
- Strong ability to maintain multiple calendars, appointment scheduling.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is an asset.
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
Assets:
- Previous sleep and CPAP clinic experience.
- Previous Medical office/clerical experience.
