Medical Physicist - Radiation Safety - Ft - 1st Shift
Overview:
Provide organization with internal professional in Imaging Medical radiation safety. Independently performs equipment testing, calibration and audits to insure safety. Provide dosimetry review and calculation of fetal dose as applied to diagnostic imaging. Provide leadership and program development in radiation safety as applied to X-ray, and other imaging modalities.
Qualifications:
Education: MS or PhD from an accredited college or university in medical physics specializing in radiation measurements, image quality assessment, radiation biology, radiation dosimetry, nuclear physics, imaging instrumentation, and mathematics. Certification eligible by the American Board of Radiology is required.

Experience: Minimum of two years experience in clinical imaging. Familiarity with DICOM/PAC programming is a plus.

Additional Skills/Abilities:
  • Full command (written and verbal) of the English language.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a safe driving record.
