Medical Receptionist

● Maintaining the main reception area and greeting patients and visitors and others on arrival at the Clinic.

● Registering new patients and checking patients in for procedures and appointments.

● Booking and scheduling of appointments for multiple diaries and liaising with patients, referrers, practitioners and medical staff.

● Managing all incoming emails, referrals, reports, surface mail and the Clinic’s online customer service desk (Zendesk) and ensuring all contacts and enquiries are dealt with in a courteous and efficient manner.

● Handling payments – managing patient accounts by obtaining, recording and updating personal and financial information, receipt of payments and issuing receipts for procedures and appointments.

● Providing administrative assistance to clinical staff throughout the Clinic as required.

● Scheduling post-op dressing appointments.

● Answering telephone calls, ensuring patient queries are responded to in a timely and efficient manner.

● Completing end of day reconciliation of accounts including health insurance payments.

● Supporting the General Manager and healthcare professionals in the smooth running of the Clinic.

● Conducting induction and orientation for new administration staff including Consultant support staff.

● To ensure that policies and procedures related to security are adhered to and that all visitors/contractors are signed in and provided with a Visitor Badge.

● To maintain up to date contact information for staff and patients and other service contractors whilst ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of personal and business information.

● To provide cross cover for Administrative Assistant colleagues as required particularly during break periods and annual leave.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: €16.50-€20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 42 per week

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Experience:

  • Reception or Administration: 4 years (required)

Language:

  • English (required)
