About the Role
We are keen to hear from Registrars looking for new opportunities commencing 27 January 2025 as Medical Registrars.
There are 36 Medical Registrar positions, two of which are dedicated positions for Advanced Trainees in Cardiology and Gastroenterology.
The positions are based at Tauranga Hospital which is a busy secondary care hospital of around 350 beds with approximately 90 medical beds, 39 elderly/rehabilitation beds, including an acute stroke unit; 10 ICU beds; 10 CCU beds and 28 Acute Assessment beds.
About the Team/Service/ Location
The Department of Medicine at Tauranga Hospital consists of more than 30 consultants working across Acute General Medicine, Cardiology, Respiratory, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Renal, Rheumatology, Infectious Diseases, Neurology, Oncology, Health in Ageing, Haematology and Palliative Care. The run period is 2 x six-monthly attachments.
About you

- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
- Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
