About the Role
The medical staffing unit have an opportunity for a self-motivated and enthusiastic Administrator to join the team. The position is a permanent Bay of Plenty wide part-time position working 64 hours per fortnight and can be based at either Tauranga or Whakatāne Hospital.
The medical staffing unit is responsible for 220 Resident Medical Officers (RMO) working across the two hospital sites – Tauranga and Whakatāne.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Management of RMO rosters
- Management of RMO recruitment, including locums
- Managing onboarding spreadsheets
- RMO Medical Council and immigration requirements, when applicable
- Rental and accommodation arrangements
- Collation of credentialling start-up paperwork and processing this on appropriate systems
- Facilitating Orientation sessions
About you
Skills required for this role:
- Ideally you will have experience within a hospital/medical industry
- A background in HR support
- Excellent customer service
- Intermediate/advanced computer skills
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Attention to detail
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
- Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
