SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health - Waccamaw Center for Mental Health (Georgetown Office) 525 Lafayette St, Georgetown, SC 29440.

• Provide counseling and case management to individuals and families with a focus on chronically mentally illness by utilizing individual, group and family counseling and other approved center services.
• Develop treatment plans in coordination with patients, family, and treatment team and assist with treatment scheduling and meetings.
• Maintain documentation of charts and other records in accordance with State, Federal, Local, OMH, WCHM, Quality Assurance, Corporate Compliance and CARF standards.
• Assist patients in gaining appropriate services, consult with local agencies, organizations and human services providers.
• Provide on-call services as directed by the Clinic Director.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

• A master’s degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field.

• Ability to provide after-hours emergency services as directed by the Clinic Director.
• May require home visits and travel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
• Must be able to meet OMH credentialling requirements.
• Experience working with adults, children, adolescents, and their families in a community mental health setting.

• Ability to provide thorough knowledge of the scope and range of services provided in a comprehensive mental health program serving adults, children and families and the unique treatment needs of the special population.
• Ability to integrate and coordinate services with those of other disciplines and to communicate effectively.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, families, and representatives of other professional disciplines.
• Must be able to perform case management, crisis intervention, interviewing and assessment skills.
• Participate in on-going in-service training and other educational opportunities in order to maintain and/or acquire necessary skills.
