Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented MEP Designer to prepare coordinated Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing drawings for residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate should have experience with AutoCAD/Revit and a strong understanding of MEP systems, construction drawings, and permit documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare MEP layouts and permit drawings based on architectural backgrounds
• Design and draft:
• HVAC layouts
• Electrical power & lighting plans
• Plumbing supply & drainage layouts
• Coordinate MEP systems with architectural and structural drawings
• Prepare:
• One-line diagrams
• Panel schedules
• Equipment schedules
• Load calculations
• Incorporate redlines, markups, and AHJ corrections
• Maintain drawing standards and QA/QC procedures
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and drafting teams
• Ensure drawings are permit-ready and code-compliant

Requirements:

• Experience in MEP drafting/design for US projects
• Proficiency in:
• AutoCAD
• Revit MEP
• Bluebeam (preferred)
• Understanding of:
• HVAC systems
• NEC basics
• Plumbing layouts
• Construction documentation
• Ability to read architectural and structural drawings
• Strong attention to detail and coordination skills
• Good communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with commercial kitchen or commercial projects
• Familiarity with US building codes and permit process
• BIM coordination experience
• Knowledge of clash coordination and constructability review
