Job Description

We are seeking an MEP Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to work with our Estimating Department and support our preconstruction and bid activities. This is a technical role involving cost estimation, tender preparation, and pre-construction support for MEP Systems across various sectors including Industrial, Pharmaceutical, Commercial and Data Centres.

Key Requirements

Core Skill Set

• The ability to work as part of a team to manage the bid from a technical MEP perspective

• Good working knowledge of Mechanical & Electrical work packages

• Experience working on large scale data centres will be an advantage

Experience

• 3 - 5 years relevant experience in a similar role

Education

• Education equivalent to EQF Level 6 within quantity surveying (Mechanical & Electrical anadvantage), however other educational backgrounds are welcome to apply

As a member of the estimating team, you will be required to have an open and adaptable approach to developing solutions, together with excellent communication and collaboration skills. You will be key member of the preconstruction team, shaping project win strategy. You will work with local resources, regional commercial teams and the estimating department based in Dublin.

The role will be based in our Copenhagen Office in Hoje Taastrup 2630, working within the estimating department, in the preconstruction department, supporting projects across the European region.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Estimating Director in Dublin, working closely with the Preconstruction Manager in Denmark, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for MEP Systems on major projects

• Review client specifications, drawings, and tender documentation to produce competitive bids

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and design teams to ensure constructability andfeasibility

• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to obtain accurate pricing

• Identify risks, cost drivers, and opportunities for value engineering

• Support pre-construction planning and tender presentations

• Maintain detailed documentation of all estimating processes, assumptions, and calculations

• Ensure compliance with company standards, quality requirements, and relevant regulations

• Advising on procurement strategy

• Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use

• Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations.

• The ability to work independently, and prepare tenders while meeting strict deadlines

Strong time management and communication skills are essential to this role, as well as computer literacy and the ability to prepare reports and administer the necessary paperwork.

Other duties

• Assisting with growing the regional supply chain by meeting suppliers and diversifying our approachto procurement

• Producing localized benchmark data for projects and packages to assist with pricing verification andtrend tracking

Other requirements

• Strong written and spoken English communication skills

• Danish, Swedish, Finnish or another European language is beneficial

• Right to work in Denmark preferred. Support with permit application process will be provided

• Periodic travel will be required throughout Europe
