Job Description – Merchandiser

Position: Merchandiser
Location: Ultadanga, Kolkata, India

Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Merchandiser to manage product planning, MBO Communication, store visual merchandising and order execution to production. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, market awareness, and the ability to coordinate across teams to ensure timely delivery and product quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with internal teams for product development and order execution.
• Monitor product lifecycle from sampling to final shipment.
• Analyze customer preferences and competitor activities.
• Maintain inventory planning and stock optimization.
• Ensure timely follow-up on production schedules and deliveries.
• Prepare merchandising reports and order documentation.
• Collaborate with design and production teams to align products with market demand.
• Conduct quality checks and ensure compliance with company standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Textile, or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in merchandising or sourcing roles.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Good understanding of production processes and supply chain coordination.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and merchandising software/tools.
• Ability to multitask and manage deadlines effectively.
• Strong analytical, visual and organizational skills.

• Knowledge of fashion trends and retail market dynamics.
• Vendor management experience.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
