Description:
About the Role

We have an excellent opportunity for a Merchandiser to join our team and work within the Nelson Region. You will work hands on with customer contact and maintain business critical relationships.

Responsibilities will include:

Ensure Hutchinsons products are filled and rotated to the highest standard and advise your manager of any out stocks, facing changes etc.
Look for growth opportunities within the PackNSave channels as appropriate to your region and advise these to your Territory Manager
Build business relationships with key customer contacts in all channels including Service Deli, Dairy Deli, Fish Bar and Grocery as required
Adhere to a regular call cycle on all key accounts. Regularly review this cycle with your manager to ensure time spent is delivering the appropriate results
Complete a weekly call report in a timely manner
Use time management skills to stay within budgeted hours
Ensure ongoing focus on Core Range products within your area
Check in store basics including specials tickets, stock weight, stock rotation, range check and shelf position, advise appropriate managers of any issues.

Skills and Experience

Good knowledge of the FMCG industry
Proven experience in a merchandising role, ideally in independents and chain stores
Strong presentation and influencing skills.
Exceptional time management skills with a drive to succeed
Able to understand best practice customer management and field sales disciplines.
Resilient, persistent and self motivated
High levels of energy, hands on with a can do attitude.
Self-starter & self-motivated business approach.
