CIE-Century Plastics, a division of the global enterprise CIE Automotive, is seeking a talented Metal Fabricator to join our team.

Job Title: Metal Fabricator

Department: Maintenance

Primary Purpose:

The Metal Fabricator will be responsible to prepare, weld, and fabricate metal structures and components.

Essential Functions:

• Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints.
• Measuring and marking metal or aluminum to be cut.
• Setting up metalwork machinery including cutoff saw, mig and tig welders, hand grinder, cutting torch, and hand plasma cutter.
• Fabricating and constructing metal components.
• Repairing portable manufacturing part storage racks.
• Grinding, finishing, and painting completed products.
• Performing quality checks on completed products.
• Completing work orders.
• Filling out internal Hot Work Permits

Qualifications:

· Experience with MIG Welding

· Experience with TIG Welding

· Experience with cutting torches

· Experience with a cutoff band saw

· Experience with a Bridgeport, surface grinder, or lathe is a PLUS!

· Associates degree in mechanical engineering or 2 years equivalent work experience as a fabricator with metals and aluminum.

· Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints.

· Proficiency with metal fabrication tools including hand grinder.

· Ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects.

· Ability to stand for long periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
