Microsoft 365 Adoption & Training Consultant

Job description

Change Champions is looking for a Microsoft Adoption & Training Consultant to join our team.

In this role, you will work with our customers to help them create strategies to roll out Microsoft 365 products and support them through execution. We are looking for a proactive individual with proven experience in consulting who is passionate about productivity and collaboration technology.

About the role

  • Open to candidates looking for contract or full-time (T4) opportunities.
  • This is a remote role; you must reside in Canada.

Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in consulting or comparable role in an organization.
  • Passion and experience working in a fast-paced environment where you work on several projects at a given time.
  • Demonstrated experience running projects, keeping track of tasks, and supporting customers with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated experience developing communication plans and writing project communications.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering online technology training,
  • Demonstrated knowledge of workplace/productivity technology tools (Teams, SharePoint Online, creating or managing SharePoint Intranets, OneDrive, Planner, Copilot, etc.).
  • Excited about the possibility of working remotely.
  • Comfortable working for a boutique consulting firm.

Nice to Have’s

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity awareness and cybersecurity awareness platforms.
  • PROSCI® Change Management certification.
  • Attained key Microsoft certifications, or planning to do so: Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, Microsoft Service Adoption Specialist.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare strategies to drive adoption of technologies (mainly workplace technology but sometimes other technologies) in organizations.
  • Prepare strategies to drive cybersecurity awareness in organizations.
  • Identify change impacts and prepare plans to help people embrace the changes in technology (e.g., communication plans, training plans, champions plan, etc).
  • Deliver online training for tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Copilot, Viva, and others in the Microsoft 365 stack, and occasionally, other topics (e.g., security awareness, governance). Training could be for end users and key users such as Service Desk.
  • Manage our SaaS platform for Microsoft 365 adoption on behalf of clients.
  • Manage our SaaS Cybersecurity Awareness platform on behalf of clients.
  • Document, gather, and report on adoption metrics to demonstrate value.

Project & Client Management

  • Keep track of project tasks and overall execution of project activities to ensure project is completed on time and on budget. Note: We use Teams for collaboration, a combination of spreadsheets and Planner for project tracking, and Harvest for time tracking.
  • Establish excellent rapport with clients and manage client expectations, be proactive and always keep professional demeanor.

Business Analysis

  • Work along a SharePoint Architect to design, architect, build, and rollout SharePoint (Online) Intranets and Collaboration environments in SharePoint or Microsoft Teams.
  • Work along technical resources to provide change management support during migration projects, the rollout of governance products like ProvisionPoint or Orchestry, etc.

Presales & Marketing

  • Occasionally, attend business development meetings and help with client proposals.
  • Support Change Champions in the development of service offerings.
  • Help create thought leadership in the form of blogs, articles, webinars, and community contributions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
