Position Summary

Bursey Excavation and Development Limited are seeking reliable and hardworking Construction Labourers to support civil construction projects in Central Newfoundland. This role is well suited to individuals who are safety-focused, physically capable, and able to work in a fast-paced construction environment.

Number of positions: 6 Start date goal: Crew 12a Jan 20 – Crew 12b Feb 3

Hourly Pay Range: $25

Shift identification: 3 Laborers for Crew 12a and 3 Laborers for Crew 12b
Work address: Equinox Gold Mine

Labourers will support excavation, site preparation, and general civil construction activities. Successful candidates will work closely with equipment operators, forepersons, and site supervisors to ensure safe and efficient project execution.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform general labour and construction-related duties as assigned

· Use construction hand tools safely and effectively

· Assist with operating equipment as required

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite free of clutter and debris

· Attend and actively participate in all safety meetings

· Ensure small tools are properly maintained, stored, and secured

· Follow all worksite safety rules, procedures, and company policies

· Complete assigned tasks efficiently and within established timelines

· Follow direction from Foremen and Superintendents

· Perform manual labour for extended periods and lift up to 60 lbs

· Work effectively under pressure in a dynamic construction environment

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous labor experience in construction or industrial settings considered an asset
• Ability to work long hours in varying weather conditions
• Physically fit and capable of lifting, bending, and performing repetitive tasks
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Commitment to safety always
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the pickup point or site access location

• 8inch CSA approved work boots
