Mine Operations Analyst

Rosebel Gold Mines is currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Mine Operations department as a Mine Operations Analyst. As a Mine Operations Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the operational efficiency and productivity of our mining operations. In this role, you will mainly focus on production and operating budgets and forecasts, and monitor, and report operations performance and costs on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis. You will work closely with the Mine Operations team to maintain and update the department’s information system including contractors to provide accurate and timely information.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Mine Operations management in reporting, reviewing, and analysis of departmental costs and performance on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

• Advance the design and development of effective production/ financial budgeting and forecasting for the mine operations department.

• Assist with the authorization for expenditures (AFE) preparations, Capex monitoring, and detailed cost analysis providing trends and forecasts.

• Support with the contractor management for the Mine Operations department.

• Prepare and present summary reports, performance metrics reports, and PowerPoint presentations.

• Generate purchase requisitions in the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system.

• Respond to a variety of internal and/or external requests.

The ideal candidate will have:

• University degree in Mine Engineering or a related field.

• A minimum of 3 years of related work experience in mining operations and finance.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze large datasets.

• Proficiency in ERP systems, e.g., Oracle or SAP.

• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.

• Strong communication and presentation skills.

• Good written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English.

• Willingness to work on a rotational schedule of 5 days of work followed by 2 days break at Rosebel Gold Mines in Brokopondo.
