We are looking for an experienced CMP (Chemical Mechanical Polishing) Process Engineer to join our unique consulting team to support 300mm semiconductor wafer processing in high volume manufacturing.

This role is based on site at our Co. Kildare campus.

Applied Materials' FabVantage group partners with semiconductor manufacturers to optimise yields, boost equipment productivity, and accelerate new technology ramps. FabVantage Module Process Engineers utilize data-driven methodologies and digital tools to troubleshoot complex, fab-wide integration challenges.

What you'll be doing:

  • Work closely with customer and Field Service Organization team to meet CSA performance KPIs.
  • Resolve hardware and process issues utilizing systematic troubleshooting methodology (DoEs, FDC, Analytics, etc.).
  • Engage with customers to understand customer issues, interpret the technology and service needs and identify opportunities for Applied service engagement.
  • Work closely with customer and local service team to meet service agreement performance indicators/entitlements.
  • Work with service business unit and service products development team to develop and transfer service products to customers including on-site optimization.

What you should have?

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or comparable
  • 7-10 years of experience in semiconductors
  • In-depth knowledge of 300mm CMP process and tools.
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to interpret internal/external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes or services
  • A multi-cultural and interpersonal skillset including cross-functional teamwork
  • Travel: up to 20%

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.



For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
