Job Overview

Mene, Inc. is hiring an experienced Mold Cutter for our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate must be proficient in fabricating high-quality molds from various materials, including plastic and wax. This role requires hands-on operation of tools and machinery, material inspection, collaborative troubleshooting, and a strong commitment to maintaining exacting quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Using hand tools like scrapers, knives, or band saws to trim excess material or repair mold defects. It may also involve using power tools to bore holes or cut specific features like pouring spouts.
  • Measuring and mixing molding materials
  • Reading blueprints, work orders, requirements to ensure molds are created to the correct dimensions and specifications
  • Ensuring molds are accurate and meet specifications using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers is crucial for quality control.
  • Handle materials safely and efficiently, ensuring proper materials safety practices are followed
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized work environment following lean manufacturing principles.
  • Conduct basic maintenance on machinery and tools to ensure optimal performance.
  • Assist in assembly tasks as required, contributing to the overall production process.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in manufacturing or machining environments, with a focus on Mold Cutting and Injection Mold materials
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
  • Familiarity with hand tools and fabrication techniques is essential.
  • Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions accurately.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.71 - $36.57 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
