Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Montessori Directress to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging curricula, and support the holistic growth of young children. Your enthusiasm for early childhood education will inspire curiosity and confidence in our students while ensuring a safe and stimulating learning environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Curriculum Design: Design and implement Montessori-based lesson plans tailored to individual student needs, focusing on literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional development.
- Classroom Culture: Foster a positive atmosphere that encourages independence, curiosity, and respectful behavior management.
- Student Assessment: Monitor and assess each child's progress through observations, detailed documentation, and standardized testing when appropriate.
- Parent Partnership: Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate student progress, developmental milestones, and any necessary interventions.
- Environment Maintenance: Maintain an organized classroom environment that promotes effective management and child welfare.
- Early Intervention: Support strategies for children requiring additional assistance in areas such as speech, literacy, or behavior management.
- Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to childcare regulations and uphold the highest standards of safety, hygiene, and child welfare.
Skills & Qualifications
- Expertise: Extensive knowledge of early childhood education principles and the Montessori method.
- Experience: Proven experience in preschool or daycare settings, including classroom management and lesson planning.
- Developmental Knowledge: Strong understanding of childhood development stages and special education needs.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for engaging with children, parents, staff, and community partners.
- Instructional Ability: Ability to develop curriculum that integrates literacy, math, and social-emotional learning.
- Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a nurturing approach toward children.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $24.00 per hour
