Job Description
- Transports and retrieves inter-office mail pouch bags to various NYCHA field locations and NYCHA developments on a daily basis to and from the agency’s main Mail Center at 23 Ash Street, BKLYN NY 11222.
- Chauffer various NYCHA staff, NYCHA residents and NYCHA visitors to special events such as community meetings, conferences, guided tours of NYCHA locations and meetings throughout NYC for various NYCHA programs.
- On demand transportation of printed time sensitive material requests to authority wide locations as necessary.
- Will act as chase vehicle driver when transporting vehicles back and forth to repair vendors for various service orders. During times when not required to drive, may be required to perform additional tasks such as sort inter-office mail, assist Mail Center staff & Print Shop with various related duties.
- Ability to lift equipment / boxes, materials up to 50-60 lbs.

Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements: There are no formal education or experience requirements.
Driver License Requirement: By the time you are appointed to this position, you must have a motor vehicle driver license valid in the State of New York. If you have moving violations, license suspension(s) or an accident record, you may be disqualified. This license must be maintained for the duration of your employment.
