Duties

• Perform comprehensive inspections of motor vehicles to assess compliance with state safety and emissions standards.
• Use hand tools and power tools to examine vehicle components such as brakes, lights, steering, suspension, and exhaust systems.
• Identify mechanical issues or deficiencies that may compromise vehicle safety or performance.
• Document inspection results accurately and prepare detailed reports for regulatory agencies or internal records.
• Assist vehicle owners or operators by explaining inspection findings and recommending necessary repairs or maintenance actions.
• Facilitate repairs when needed.
• Conduct heavy lifting and manual tasks involved in inspecting large vehicles or auto service projects.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive repair, vehicle maintenance, or auto body repair.
• Hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and automotive service equipment.
• Strong understanding of automotive systems including engines, brakes, electrical components, and chassis.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during inspections or auto restoration projects.
• Prior mechanic experience or certification in automotive technology is highly desirable.
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
