Job Summary
Join our team as a Motor Vehicle State Inspector and become a vital part of ensuring vehicle safety, compliance, and roadworthiness. In this dynamic role, you will conduct thorough inspections of motor vehicles to verify adherence to state regulations and safety standards. Duties
- Perform comprehensive inspections of motor vehicles to assess compliance with state safety and emissions standards.
- Use hand tools and power tools to examine vehicle components such as brakes, lights, steering, suspension, and exhaust systems.
- Identify mechanical issues or deficiencies that may compromise vehicle safety or performance.
- Document inspection results accurately and prepare detailed reports for regulatory agencies or internal records.
- Assist vehicle owners or operators by explaining inspection findings and recommending necessary repairs or maintenance actions.
- Facilitate repairs when needed.
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual tasks involved in inspecting large vehicles or auto service projects.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive repair, vehicle maintenance, or auto body repair.
- Hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and automotive service equipment.
- Strong understanding of automotive systems including engines, brakes, electrical components, and chassis.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during inspections or auto restoration projects.
- Prior mechanic experience or certification in automotive technology is highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
