Duties

• Operate mowing machines, power tools, and landscaping equipment safely and efficiently to maintain lawns, fields, and landscaped areas
• Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as trimming, edging, pruning, and planting to enhance outdoor aesthetics
• Identify various plants, trees, and shrubs to ensure proper care and health of landscape features
• Assist with irrigation system setup, adjustments, and repairs to promote healthy growth of vegetation
• Follow safety protocols rigorously during all groundskeeping activities to prevent accidents or injuries
• Conduct routine inspections of grounds to identify maintenance needs or hazards
• Support with additional landscaping tasks including hardscape installation, tree trimming, and general grounds upkeep

Skills

• Mechanical knowledge for operating and troubleshooting landscaping machinery and power tools
• Experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or groundskeeping roles
• Familiarity with plant identification, horticulture principles, and pesticide management practices
• Ability to operate irrigation systems and understand basic irrigation needs for different plant types
• Strong knowledge of lawn care techniques including mowing, aeration, fertilization, and pest control
• Proficiency with hand tools such as trimmers, shovels, rakes, and pruning shears
• Excellent outdoor work experience with a focus on safety protocol adherence and equipment operation skills
