Duties

• Operate lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other power tools to maintain lawns and landscaped areas efficiently.
• Assist with landscape installation projects including planting, edging, mulching, and hardscape work such as patios or walkways.
• Perform routine landscape maintenance tasks such as pruning trees and shrubs, weed control, fertilization, and irrigation system checks.
• Use hand tools and small machinery like excavators for site preparation or minor construction tasks.
• Support snow plowing operations during winter months to ensure safe access for clients.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper maintenance and safety standards are met.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to safety protocols.

Skills

• Mechanical knowledge to operate and troubleshoot lawn care equipment and power tools effectively.
• Experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with landscaping techniques including planting, pruning, hardscape installation, and irrigation systems.
• Ability to use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and wheelbarrows confidently.
• Knowledge of equipment like excavators or snow plows is a plus for supporting construction or winter operations.
• Strong understanding of tree care practices including trimming and health assessment.
• Good physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy materials when needed.
