Mozzarella Packaging

The mozzarella packaging is responsible for all packaging duties within the mozzarella department.

Responsibilities:

• Perform all packaging duties as assigned by the mozzarella supervisor.
• Work in assigned areas of various packaging lines.
• Package, palletize, and label various products.
• Record essential packaging information with accordance with the SQF procedures.
• Assist in bulk packaging of mozzarella from brine.
• Record information pertaining to bulk packaging.
• Rotate between lines efficiently.
• Regularly refer to production and packaging schedule and reports.
• Set up for production and change over.
• Follow clean up and chemical handling procedures.
• Other needed dairy work as assigned.
• Assure compliance with SQF and GMP procedure and requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have the ability to work as a team and independently.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Some mechanical aptitude.
• Computer knowledge a plus.

Work is physically demanding. One should possess the ability to operate heavy machinery, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, push, pull and grasp. Must demonstrate strength and aerobic capacity for work.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
