The ideal candidate a talented and experienced Multi Skilled Operator to join the team on a rotating shift pattern. The ideal applicant will be hard-working, conscientious, and diligent with excellent communication skills and an ability to work efficiently making the best use of the resources available.

The Role

Strong knowledge and understanding of broadcast systems and technology
Setting up and operating a variety of cameras, from DSLRs to professional studio cameras
Knowledge of lighting techniques for both studio and location work, with the ability to set up necessary grip equipment and operate lighting controllers
Vision mixing live broadcasts, preferably with experience of using NewTek Tricasters or similar
operates sound mixing and dubbing equipment to obtain desired mix, level and balance of sound.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines
To conduct risk assessment and be aware of health and safety issues
To check operation and positioning of projectors, vision and sound recording equipment, and mixing and dubbing equipment;

Skills:
Good knowledge of tapeless production workflows, broadcast equipment and systems including, but not limited to, cameras, sound, vision, lighting, graphics, post-production, media management, MCR and Playout
Enthusiastic and self-motivated, able to prioritise a daily workload, and to meet deadlines both individually, and as part of a team
Able to react tactfully and sympathetically to requests from production staff and to refer upwards for guidance if needed
A good communicator who can remain calm under pressure and work well within a multifunctional team

Qualifications:
A degree, HND (higher national diploma) or vocational qualification in a subject such as sound technology, sound engineering, physics, electrical engineering or media production, will be particularly valuable but is not essential for the role.

Experience:
Minimum 3 year's experience in a multi-skilled technical operations role, or significant experience in at least one field of technical operation
