Nanny/Babysitter

Mamago is actively seeking a highly competent and experienced caregiver, who can effectively handle childcare responsibilities while also carrying out light housekeeping duties as needed. The ideal candidate must possess a basic understanding of the challenges that mothers face and exhibit an unwavering level of patience and empathy when dealing with children. As a caregiver, you will play a crucial role in representing Mamago and must demonstrate exceptional professionalism and expertise in your role.

*Responsibilities:

• In-home childcare: Provide a safe and nurturing environment for child(ren) in their care. This may include feeding, playing, and/or engaging in activities with them.
• Light housekeeping: Clean and organize the home according to the family's needs and preferences. This may include doing laundry, washing dishes, vacuuming, dusting, and/or organizing.
• Running errands: This may include grocery shopping, picking up dry cleaning, and/or returning packages.
• Transportation: Transport child(ren) to and from school, activities, and/or appointments.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with the parents and keep them informed about the child(ren)'s activities and any issues/concerns.
• Safety and security: Maintain confidentiality and respect the family's privacy while providing a safe and secure environment for the child(ren), including monitoring their activities and ensuring their well-being at all times.
• Flexibility: Be flexible and willing to adapt to the family's changing needs and schedules.

Requirements:

• Experience working as a caregiver, preferably with small children.
• Must have a clean criminal record and driving record.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Flexible schedule required, including weekends and evenings.
• Must be willing to commute to our service areas in the South Shore and Greater Boston.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• After school
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Morning shift
• On call
• Overnight shift
• Weekends as needed
