About the role

Reporting to the National Business Manager, the National Account Manager – Coles – is responsible for developing and executing the customer strategy for Coles across selected categories, driving sales, profit, and market share growth. This role will manage end-to-end customer relationships, build strategic partnerships, and deliver joint value initiatives through promotional excellence, forecasting accuracy, and customer-led innovation.

About you

The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of experience in account management within a fast-moving consumer goods organisation, with demonstrated success in negotiating with buying teams at major retail chains such as Coles or similar national retailer. You possess strong commercial acumen with experience in promotional planning, and trade spend optimisation, with the ability to use market data to drive category growth.

Attributes that will support your success:
Proven ability to manage large-scale accounts with P&L responsibility.
  • Strong analytical and commercial acumen with deep understanding of category drivers.
  • Confident negotiator with strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experienced in DSX Product Forecasting
  • Experience in data platforms such as IRI, Circana, Unify - highly desireable
  • Highly motivated, with the ability to work autonomously
  • Proactive in approach and meticulously organised
