About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented National Store Operations Manager to drive operational excellence across our national retail footprint. This pivotal leadership role requires a strategic thinker with a strong commercial acumen and a passion for people development. You will be instrumental in establishing, implementing, and maintaining best-in-class operational practices that ensure efficient store operations, enhance customer experience, and support our overarching business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
Operational Strategy & Development:
- Lead the strategic development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the National Store Operations Manual.
- Establish and maintain operational best practices that optimise efficiency and consistency across all national stores.
- Drive the execution of all operational store policies, procedures, maintenance protocols, and compliance standards.
Performance Management & Compliance:
- Manage and refine the national store review process, ensuring consistent performance evaluation and improvement.
- Oversee operational compliance and conduct regular audits across all stores to uphold standards and mitigate risks.
- Evaluate operational and financial records to analyse retail store performance and identify areas for growth and optimisation.
Customer Experience & Safety:
- Champion a customer-centric approach throughout the business, actively investigating and resolving customer complaints or issues promptly and efficiently.
- Collaborate with store owners to ensure the highest standards of safety and security for personnel, inventory, cash, and property.
- Implement and maintain effective administration, EPOS, and security systems in accordance with head office guidelines.
- Ensure comprehensive awareness and understanding of Health and Safety requirements, guaranteeing full compliance with all relevant legislation across every store.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Provide comprehensive training and coaching to retail employees, fostering skill development and enhancing job performance across the national team.
- Cultivate robust relationships with all stakeholders, ensuring a customer-first service delivery to retail stores.
Store Infrastructure & Projects:
- Partner with contractors to ensure shop refits and new store openings are executed in accordance with national guidelines, meeting time schedules and maintaining high standards.
- Manage ongoing maintenance and standards for all retail locations.
Compliance & General Administration:
- Adhere strictly to company Workplace Health & Safety (WH&S) standards.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Undertake other duties as requested by management to support overall operations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive retail management experience, preferably in a multi-site or national operations role.
- Demonstrated ability to influence, develop, and foster robust relationships across all levels of an organisation.
- Highly motivated professional with outstanding leadership capabilities and proven experience in developing and coaching teams to achieve peak performance.
- Exceptional ability to engage with diverse stakeholders to deliver a customer-first service experience.
- Possess an entrepreneurial spirit with a proven ability to identify and implement value-adding business solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications are required.
- A Business Management qualification is highly desirable.
- Proven leadership experience, including managing direct reports and navigating multiple cross-functional relationships.
