As a new Neighbourhood Coordinator joining our village, you will:
Support and embrace our resident-centred social culture and be proud to support your team to deliver the highest quality of care to our residents. Our Neighbourhood Coordinators lead, empower and support our self-directed Neighbourhood team members to deliver resident-centered care focusing on flexible living and quality of life.
Our Neighbourhood Coordinators leverage their unique strengths, skills and knowledge to deliver our mission and achieve our aspirations and quality care outcomes. They foster deep relationships and connections with team members, residents, family members and the wider community and demonstrate a serving leadership philosophy.
Participate in Village wide committees and working groups (e.g., Risk Management, PERT, Education, Quality Improvement, etc.) to share expertise and work collaboratively on quality outcomes; and attends Village leadership team meetings and participates in discussions and decisions that impact all team members.
Our Neighbourhood Coordinators coach and lead performance for individual team members and the Neighbourhood team as a whole including all aspects of HR, health and safety and communication. They lead care conferences with residents and family members and are often the first point of contact for residents and their families.
To be successful as our new Neighbourhood Coordinator, you will:
- Hold a Diploma or Degree from a recognized institution in a related field or equivalent leadership experience
- Respect the rights and dignity of all residents, families, team members and visitors to the village and addresses any requests with professionalism and care
It would be an asset if our new Neighbourhood Coordinator has:
- Previous leadership experience in a Senior Living environment.
- Knowledge of the Long-Term Care Act or Retirement Home Regulatory Authority, Program Standard Manual requirements, and the Resident Bill of Rights.
- Knowledge of the Long-Term Care Act or Retirement Home Regulatory Authority, Program Standard Manual requirements and the Resident Bill of Rights.
- The ability to lead and supervise others by communicating vision, values, goals and expectations; empowering self-directed teams; promoting an engaged and inclusive environment; and supporting their growth and development through coaching and mentoring skills.
- Proven ability to work with diverse and multi-disciplinary teams to promote individual and collective strengths and foster an inclusive work environment.
- Effective interpersonal skills in aiding honest and difficult conversations, managing conflict, holding others accountable and influencing outcomes while being flexible, adaptable and approachable.
- Proven oral, written and computer skills by listening to others and sharing information; by creating clarity and excitement to support new initiatives/direction; by having meaningful growth and development conversations.
- Proven alignment with our vision and organizational values of caring, passion, hands-on, innovation, positive can-do attitude, and hard work.
