The Role / Person
We are looking for a Network Assets Technician to support our Land Transport Unit and focus on our road network asset data management!
As you can imagine, the demands on the Timaru District’s critical roading infrastructure are becoming increasingly challenging and improving our 1,700km road network is a significant priority. With the increasing safety focus, climate change and ageing assets, the roading infrastructure programme of work is forecasted to grow significantly over the next 10 years.
This role will see you working on data collection, validation, condition assessment, modelling, and analysis using RAMM modules and other analytical tools.
You’ll also find yourself supporting the preparation and execution of asset valuations for the Land Transport Unit and assist with maintenance/renewal programmes and capital projects.
We expect the successful candidates to have experience in data analysis and a sound understanding of asset management principles. To strengthen your technical talents, you will also have strong communication and stakeholder management skills to enable project delivery.
