YOUR TASKS
- Planning, implementation, configuration and operational support of networks (Cisco, LAN/WLAN) and firewall systems (Checkpoint, Cisco), as well as the WAN connection of all Drees & Sommer locations and project locations of external clients
- Your contribution is required to develop innovative network strategies, philosophies and criteria to secure continuous and highly available operation
- In this role you serve as Project Management Consultant and as a contact for 2nd level support issues
- Requirements regarding communication services,recovery, network and cyber-security, you will ensure by monitoring and improving network performance
- Perform network analysis and diagnostics as needed to resolve network issues
- You apply network management system tools to determine network load and model performance statistics
- You enjoy conceptualizing, designing, and implementing network infrastructure projects
- You like to work in a distributed Team with colleagues in Germany
YOUR PROFILE
- Bachelor in the field of computer science, successfully completed IT training, or comparabl. We also welcome career changers with a high affinity for IT and at least 3 years of professional experience.
- Sound professional experience in the field of network infrastructure: routing, switching, firewalling, IDS and profound knowledge with Microsoft Server and Linux operating systems
- Project management experience
- Experience with Cisco products
- Cisco certification would be an advantage
- Experience with SIEM, VoIP/SIP telephony, UC systems are an advantage
- Analytical thinking, act process-oriented, independent and structured worker,you come with a distinctive customer orientation
- Very good communication skills and team spirit
- Willingness to travel to client locations
- Fluent written and oral English skills
- The work can be done remotely
