Bay to Beach Builders, Delmarva’s premier On-Your-Lot custom home builder, continues to grow, and we are currently seeking an experienced and talented New Home Designer/CAD Draftsperson to join our team. Position Overview: This is not a remote position. The New Custom Home Designer/CAD Draftsperson will be responsible for developing and preparing detailed, permit-ready construction drawings for custom homes. This position requires a skilled designer with an advanced understanding of residential architecture, proficiency in drafting software, and the ability to deliver precise and timely documentation. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to ensuring high-quality designs that streamline the construction process and exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create detailed, permit-ready construction documents for new home designs.
• Independently manage the design and drafting of custom homes from initial customer concepts to completed construction plans.
• Revise and update existing home plans to incorporate feature enhancements and specification changes, emphasizing value engineering.
• Complete plan revisions efficiently and accurately to minimize field variances and construction questions.
• Collaborate effectively with customers, internal teams, and external stakeholders to ensure clarity, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of residential building codes and construction methods.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of architectural drafting and residential design experience.
• Proven ability to create comprehensive, permit-ready construction drawings independently.
• Advanced understanding of residential architecture, building codes, and construction practices.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with clients and team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Softplan software highly desirable.
• Familiarity with 2020 Design software beneficial.
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field from an accredited institution preferred.

Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 annually (based on experience) plus performance-based bonuses.
