What are WE looking for?

GBH is looking for a Night Houseman to join their team in a PART-TIME position. If you have past houseman or hospitality experience and are interested in joining a growing, family run business, we would love to hear from you!

What will YOU be doing?

• Handle guest requests and make room runs
• Support Front Desk Team/ Night Auditor in handling any guest complaints
• Monitor the movements of guests & visitors through the common areas of the property
• Ensure all doors that can be secured are properly secured
• Sweep outside areas for hazards and ensure that all outsides units are properly secured
• Ensure that all office suites are properly secured
• Turn off all lighting that is not required during the Night Shift
• Ensure that all meeting rooms are properly secured and tidy
• Assist Maintenance and Housekeeping with general duties (as directed by supervisor) including emptying all exterior/interior garbages as needed, take away diary pool towels and replenish, ensure the front desk is stocked with all needed supplies.
• Maintain a clear and safe passage for all guests in all entryways (Snow removal, salting, garbage removal)
• Ensure that all Housekeeping and Maintenance supply areas are properly secured
• Monitor attic Temperature and Server room AC to maintain the proper environment in each
• Ensure a monthly safety check of the Fire Extinguisher is being completed and documented
• Monitor sensitive areas to ensure a safe environment (Vending areas, Gym, Clubhouse, Spa, Restaurant)
• Sweep hotel on a regular and continuous schedule (hourly) to ensure a safe and peaceful environment
• Provide entry for independent contractors when necessary (Cleaner, tradespeople, deliveries)
• General customer service duties
• Assist guests with any minor maintenance issues (Only when these repairs do not disturb other guests)
• Assist Front Desk Team/ Night Auditor in customer service requirements for guests (Room or property issues)
• Provide assistance with function set-ups when required
• In winter seasons continually clear entrances and pathways, shovel and lay salt as necessary

Who are YOU?

• Team Orientated.
• Proven ability to work under tight demands.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude at work.
• Guest service or hospitality experience is an asset.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Physically fit and able to lift (up to 50 pounds), bend, kneel, and reach upwards.
