Join our esteemed McCain Hastings team, where we take pride in producing and packaging high-quality vegetables for both domestic and international markets.

The Role:

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our Hastings Night Shift team! The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work well with a team in a fast paced environment. You will be responsible for setting up, operating and maintaining various types of machinery to ensure the smooth and efficient production and packing of our vegetables.

McCain Hastings is a 24/7 operation - you'll be working 12-hour fixed night shifts from 6pm to 6am, operating on a 4 nights on, 4 days off rotation alongside a close-knit team. Punctuality, reliability, and a strong work ethic are essential attributes for success in this role.

While experience in the food manufacturing industry is advantageous, it's not essential. If you're eager to learn and possess strong teamwork qualities, this opportunity is for you.

Key tasks include:

• Set up machinery according to production specifications
• Overseeing the efficient operation of the production line and equipment
• Troubleshoot and resolve machinery issues
• Maintaining precise record-keeping
• Follow safety protocols and regulations at all times
