Join our esteemed McCain Hastings team, where we take pride in producing and packaging high-quality vegetables for both domestic and international markets.

The role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Quality Control Lead, you will be an integral part of the Production Team. We are a 24/7 operation, so you will be working with your team on 12-hour night shifts from 6pm - 6am for 4 nights, then enjoying 4 nights off.

As a Quality Control Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our products meet the highest quality standards and specifications. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality will be instrumental in our continued success.

Key tasks include:

• Responsible for the day-to-day operations of all aspects of quality testing including incoming raw vegetables and finished goods
• Conduct thorough quality checks and inspections on products at various stages of production
• Perform measurements and tests using various tools and equipment to verify product specifications
• Maintain accurate records of inspection results

To successfully carry out this role you will:

• Hold Food Safety and Health and Safety in the highest regard.
• Ensure that all quality systems relevant to the process and packing area are adhered to during each shift. E.g. accurate documentation; compliance with our food safety management system.
• Have excellent attention to detail.
• Be a logical thinker and have proven problem solving skills.
• Communicate well and be a team player.
• Be able to night work shifts, 4 days on and 4 days off.

Experience as a Quality Control Technician or in a similar role is advantageous, but not mandatory. If you are motivated to learn, we can teach you the rest!
