The team.
Join our esteemed McCain Hastings team, where we take pride in producing and packaging high-quality vegetables for both domestic and international markets.
The role.
We are on the hunt for a natural leader with a knack for problem solving and fostering teamwork. You will be a leader who is ready to bring fresh perspectives and energy to our dynamic team.
As a key player in our organisation, you will lead by example and make a real difference in our manufacturing operations.
Reporting to the Shift Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the manufacturing plant. You’ll have great communication skills and a positive can-do attitude.
Working 12-hour fixed night shifts (6pm – 6am), 4 nights on then 4 nights off, you’ll hold yourself and your team accountable while collaborating between departments.
Key tasks include.
- Organise daily schedules, assign tasks, and oversee the activities of production personnel
- Lead and inspire your team to consistently achieve KPIs while prioritising and upholding health and safety standards
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, empowering team members to voice their ideas and implement solutions that enhance safety, quality and productivity
- Ensuring reporting is completed accurately and on time
- Oversee and ensure compliance with all food safety requirements and regulations
About you.
- Proven leader - previous experience leading a team, ideally in FMCG/food processing
- Flexibility and adaptability – in a fast-paced environment, things can change quickly, and we need someone who can roll with the punches and adapt on the fly.
- A natural curiosity and a willingness to challenge the status quo – we're looking for someone who's eager to push boundaries and explore new possibilities
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset are essential – we believe in the power of teamwork and open dialogue.
- Embody a 'can-do' attitude, approach tasks and challenges with unwavering positivity, enthusiasm, and determination.
