Supply Chain Management - Nordic Commodity Manager

Siemens AS is looking for a Nordic Commodity Manager to work with indirect procurement, commodity and supply chain management in Denmark. You will join a global matrix organisation, where you will be part of the Nordic SCM team, representing regional Supply Chain Management in the countries and working with support from global commodity pooling teams at Siemens AG Headquarter.

You will join a team of experienced colleagues located across the Nordic countries, focusing on harmonising standards, processes and commodity strategies and taking supply chain management to the next level across the Nordics. You will work closely together with 10 colleagues, who will support and help you succeed in driving functional excellence, commodity management and local buying across multiple business units.

What is your role?

  • Establish close cooperation with internal stakeholders to ensure customer care and early involvement
  • Drive own commodities and related projects across the Nordics
  • Prepare and conduct negotiations with suppliers to obtain highest feasible savings in accordance with budget expectations (indirect categories)
  • Manage local buying and development/maintain the indirect product portfolio
  • Ensure local Supply Chain Management standards, regulations and guidelines along with a compliant Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process across the business
  • Act as hands-on advisor to business unit’s executives and senior management in all SCM issues
  • Manage, improve and contribute to overarching SCM programmes and initiatives
  • Support the implementation of global/regional initiatives in the fields of digitalisation, cybersecurity, and sustainability
  • Contribute to the implementation of optimisation/harmonisation projects across the Nordics in close collaboration with process owners

Who are we looking for?

According to your personality, you are a good business partner and get along with different people. You will find solutions to different challenges and situations. You are experienced in strategic sourcing, contract management, project planning and strategy. Your communication skills are excellent. Fluent English is a prerequisite (Danish desirable).

Your skills and competences include:

  • Analytical and strong negotiator with proven experience of developing strategic relationships
  • Good commercial, financial and contractual awareness
  • Structure with attention to detail ensuring high-quality master data
  • Proficiency in problem-solving to identify and resolve potential issues across products and services
  • Possess great interpersonal skills - experience of working within a complex / matrix organisation
  • Ability to communicate effectively to peers and management
  • Strong sense of ownership and self-drive when working independently as well as within teams
  • Strategic Sourcing and Project Management experience
  • Interest in implementing new digital solutions to optimise tasks and workflows

Your desired qualifications:

  • An appropriate procurement background - 6-8 years of Procurement / Supply Chain experience
  • Bachelor / Master’s degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain or related fields
  • International Project Management experience
  • Understanding of MS 365 Applications, financial tools, procurement processes (S2C, P2P,) and ERP systems (preferably SAP)
