Nordisk Risk Manager, Personal Insurance
Help shape the future of workplace safety and prevention for leading Nordic companies.
Do you have hands‑on experience improving workplace safety, preventing injuries, and supporting healthier work environments? Would you like to work with large corporate clients, help them reduce accidents and sickness absence, and play a key role in developing new preventive health concepts across the Nordics? If yes, this might be the perfect role for you.
About the job
As a Risk Manager within Personal Insurance, you will combine client advisory work in Finland with a Nordic-level role developing If’s occupational health and safety (OHS) risk management services. Your work will directly contribute to safer workplaces, reduced injuries, and better employee well‑being for some of the largest corporate clients in the Nordic region. You will help evolve If’s prevention offerings—both digital and on-site—and contribute to new service concepts that support early intervention, rehabilitation, and sustainable return-to-work processes. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys practical OHS work, client interaction, and shaping new solutions.
What you will do
Client advisory & services (Finland focus)
  • Deliver occupational health and safety advisory services to large corporate clients.
  • Conduct risk assessments, workplace evaluations, and provide practical recommendations.
  • Deliver trainings, workshops, and coaching sessions to client organizations.
  • Support clients in preventing and managing work-related accidents, injuries, and illnesses.
Development of Nordic OHS risk management services
  • Contribute to the development of If’s preventive health and workplace safety concepts, such as:
    • early intervention and “stay-at-work / return-to-work” programs
    • mental well-being and psychosocial support concepts
    • rehabilitation pathways, coaching, and new injury‑recovery techniques
    • digital and hybrid OHS prevention services
  • Shape the future offering for large corporate clients, ensuring that If stays at the forefront of prevention in the accident & health insurance industry.
Content, tools & digital solutions
  • Create training material, videos, and online learning content.
  • Support the development of digital risk management tools and platforms (e.g. self-assessment tools, online trainings, Learning Hub).
  • Contribute occasionally to external communication and thought leadership (articles, customer cases, sales materials).
Market insights & collaboration
  • Keep track of industry trends, regulatory developments, and new prevention methods.
  • Work closely with colleagues in Employee Benefits Underwriting, Sales & Client Servicing, Marketing & Business Development, and other Risk Management Services specializations (Property, Cyber, Cargo, Liability).
About you
You bring practical experience within occupational health and safety, and you are motivated by helping employers create safer and healthier workplaces. You are comfortable meeting clients, providing hands‑on guidance, and translating OHS knowledge into concrete actions.
You have:
  • Experience in OHS, workplace safety, physiotherapy / ergonomics, rehabilitation, or similar applied fields.
  • A relevant educational background (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree), but practical experience matters most.
  • Strong communication skills in Finnish and English. Working knowledge of Swedish or another Nordic language is a plus.
  • Experience of project management and/or business/concept development.
  • Comfort working with digital tools and enthusiasm for developing new digital services.
  • The ability to run workshops and trainings, and to collaborate with client OHS teams.
You enjoy working both independently and collaboratively and thrive in a role that combines client interaction with service and concept development.
About the team
In this role, you will be working together with your colleagues in Tech Enablement & Client experience, in close collaboration with the Employee Benefits Underwriting department. You will also co-operate with Sales & Client Servicing, Risk Management and other departments across If focusing on personal insurance.
