Salary Range: $17.50/hr PLUS Shift Differentials including $2 for Evenings, $1.50 for Nights and an additional $1 for Weekends!

As a Nurse Aide, supporting our mission will include the following responsibilities:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring and getting to and from activities and meals according to the resident's individual needs
• Assisting residents with eating and drinking such as meal and beverage selection, cueing for meal completion and/or hands on feeding. Assist residents in between meals with obtaining snacks and hydration throughout the day.
• Encourage resident participation in leisure activities provided for residents as described in activity calendar, social events, walking program or as needed to practice de-escalation techniques per resident's support plan
• Assist in admissions, transfers, discharges, and death procedures
• Respond promptly and positively to resident requests for assistance, including telephone calls, and requests from family and friends, visitors, or other personnel

What do I need for this role with Frederick Living?

• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be willing to obtain medication administration certification upon hire as well as complete a minimum of 6 hours of dementia education annually.
• Preferred experience in caring for the elderly with cognitive impairments.
• CPR/First Aid Certification preferred.
