About the Role

Make a lasting impact on the future of nursing by taking on the pivotal role of Nurse Coordinator – Post Graduate Study Funding. This is a unique opportunity to play an integral part in workforce development by coordinating and managing postgraduate nursing study funding.

This role is ideal for a nurse with exceptional organisational skills, strong collaboration and communication abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. You will work as a valued member of the Practice Development Group, alongside Nurse Educators, Coordinators, and RN Coaches to support and strengthen the nursing workforce across Hauora a Toi – Bay of Plenty. This role contributes directly to the future of nursing education and the delivery of quality healthcare.

About the Team/Service/ Location

We boast a dedicated and supportive team committed to advancing nursing practice and professional development. Based in the sunny Bay of Plenty, this role aligns with the goals of Te Pae Tata (Interim New Zealand Health Plan) and Te Toi Ahorangi, contributing to transformative health system improvements.

About you

As a Designated Senior Nurse, you are a strategic and collaborative professional with a strong commitment to workforce development and education. Your ability to guide and support nurses on their postgraduate study pathways is critical in this role.

  • Senior Registered Nurse with experience in workforce development and postgraduate study pathways.
  • Highly organised with strong collaborative and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to manage data effectively.
  • Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
  • Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
