We now have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Educator, Adults, to join our team at North Shore Hospital Emergency Department. The CNE role entails 8-hr shifts, 72 hours per fortnight. The role has a strong focus on clinical on-floor coaching, teaching and support of staff, requiring some rostered shifts at times.

We are seeking an expert (Level 4) emergency Registered Nurse or emergency Clinical Nurse Educator with extensive and advanced adult emergency nursing skills to join our dynamic ED team of health professionals. An understanding of the ED environment providing health care services for adults from our North and West communities. We place a huge emphasis on customer service, best patient care, and positive teamwork in our ED, and expect exemplary senior nurse role-modelling within this position. You would join an expert and motivational NSH ED team whose roles cover both adults and paediatrics in our ED. You would be mentored and well-supported into the role. Whilst this position will focus on adults, additional ED paediatric experience will be advantageous.

To be considered for this position, the following will be required:

• Registered Nurse in New Zealand with a current APC
• At least 5 years ED nursing experience
• Expert Emergency RN Level 4 or (Adult) Emergency Clinical Nurse Educator
• Masters or Post-graduate Nursing papers in progress
• Contemporary Emergency Department nursing experience
• ED Adult with Paediatric experience will be a plus

A willingness to think 'outside the box' in providing teaching and coaching strategies.
